I’m sort of in disbelief that today is the last day of October. Tomorrow is November 1. NOVEMBER 1!!! Can we just take a minute to let that sink in.
Things have been a little bit crazy and by little bit I mean totally crazy. Which has made me realize that life with kids is just going to be crazy. It took me 10 years to realize this but I finally do and am beginning to accept it as my reality. I’m not thrilled about it but I’m accepting it.
So I have a friendly FYI for you. The kids had eggs for breakfast a few days ago and of course two of them barely ate because kids say they’re starving when they really mean they want to eat two bites of something and then have a candy. So in true mom form and in an effort not to waste food, I ate their lovely eggs that they took one bite of. Except I didn’t know that one of them decided to throw some cinnamon sugar on their eggs. In case you were wondering, cinnamon sugar plus eggs does not equal good.
Speaking of children…at what age do they learn the word “No?” Mine seem to believe that “no” means to keep asking for the same thing over and over until they completely wear down my defenses so I have no idea what day it is and if I don’t know what day it is, I really don’t know what the heck they are asking me. It’s like being in an interrogation with three tiny police officers for 12 hours with no food or water. #passthewine
I’m thinking for Halloween tonight, I’m going to go as Penny from The Big Bang Theory. Basically, I get to dress as myself but walk around trick-or-treating with wine. The kids get their candy, I get some wine and call it a Halloween costume…it’s a win-win ?
I’m beyond ready for this election to be over. It’s been so ugly and full of hate. I’m just over it, so over it that I’ll be early voting this week. I just hope that something good comes out of all this negativity and hate going on right now because I can’t take any more. Educate yourselves about the candidates and the local elections going on and VOTE. #rockthevote
