These little protein bites are freaking good. And I’m really picky about little bites like these or like larabars and such. SO PICKY. They can’t be too sticky, can’t be too dry, and can’t taste like crap. I mean..I’m not going to eat something unless it tastes good. You only get one life…let’s not eat crap.
So, I took a recipe I found, which was actually the first protein bite recipe I actually liked, and modified it slightly with what I had on hand. The results are these delicious little morsels that I eat daily. And, if you have a HUGE sweet tooth, like I do, they are perfect.
And when I say they’re easy to make, I mean simple. You just throw everything into a bowl, mix, and make them into little bite-sized pieces of awesome.
I am going to tell you to try not to skip the Vital Proteins collagen. This product is absolutely amazing. And you should totally try it. I usually throw it in my morning coffee but thought it’d be amazing for these little bites too. And if you’re looking for a chocolate protein powder that tastes good, check out Syntha-6 by BSN. It’s my favorite and legit tastes like a chocolate milkshake.
But do yourself a favor and make a batch of these. They are seriously delish and a perfect snack for any day.
No-Bake Chocolate Protein Bites
Simple and delicious no-bake chocolate protein bites for an easy on the go snack.
- 2 Cup Old Fashioned Oats
- 1/2 Cup Mini Chocolate Chips
- 1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
- 2 Scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Cup Almond butter
- 2/3 Cup Raw honey
Put the oats, chocolate chips, protein powders, and cinnamon in a bowl and mix together.
*Note If you don't have the vital proteins, you can omit it. Instead of using 1 scoop of protein and 2 of the vital proteins, use 1/2 cup of chocolate protein powder.
Add almond butter and honey to the dry ingredients and mix well. It will be hard to mix but no worries, you'll get a nice little arm workout in.
Using your hands, grab some of the mixture and roll it together in the palms of you hand. You want to make these about 2 bite size. A little smaller than a golf ball.
Store in an airtight container. I usually throw mine in the refrigerator because I like them a little chilled but this is completely up to you. And they'll usually last about a week.
