Guys. Brown your butter.
I’ve always heard the rumors about brown butter…I heard it was amazing and that it was the best thing ever and that I should make it immediately. You’d think after hearing numerous times that I should make brown butter and throw it in any recipe to make it better that I would. But I never did. Call me a rebel….or just really stubborn but I was not a believer in the amazing awesome that was brown butter. There was no way that letting some butter cook for longer than normal could completely change the flavor of butter to make it have this amazing nutty flavor.
Then I made brown butter banana bread from one of my favorite cookbooks and it changed my life. It was one of those moments when you’re left wondering why on earth you didn’t make brown butter sooner. Because…believe it or not, browning butter does change the flavor of butter. It transforms from regular old butter to this concoction that’s nutty and caramelly and toasty and absolutely delicious. If you’ve never made it, do it. It’s easy and only takes about 5-10 minutes of your time. It will change your life.
