Sharing my all time favorite dessert…key lime pie! This recipe is super easy and gives you a perfectly tart, and perfectly creamy key lime pie!
Spoiler alert…this is not a healthy recipe. But, I had to share it with y’all because key lime pie is my absolute favorite dessert. I mean, if you asked me to pick one dessert to eat the rest of my life…it would be key lime pie.
The thing about key lime pie…everyone likes it different. Making it a tricky (but delicious) dessert to make. Some like it more tart than others, some like it sweeter, some like whipped cream, some don’t.
It can get crazy.
But! Lucky for you…I’m gonna help you out.
This recipe is super easy. Less than 10 ingredients for the entire thing. And yes, you must make your graham cracker crust from scratch because it tastes that much better. Once you make it homemade, you’ll never go back to store bought.
To make it easier, I use Nellie and Joe’s Key West Lime Juice. Mostly because if you’ve ever seen a key lime you know they’re itty bitty. Meaning you’ll have to juice at least a dozen to get the amount of juice needed. And yes, you can use regular limes. But if you do use regular limes, juice those babies yourself.
The really tricky part of key lime pie is the amount of lime juice to put in. I like mine more tart than some so I put in 2/3 of a cup of lime juice. If you want less tart, put in 1/2 cup and you’ll be good.
But seriously, make this pie. It’s the perfect summer dessert…cool, creamy, and delicious.
Plus…key lime pie is life 🙌🏻
